Tanzanian star Mbosso has released the official music video for “Buku Jero,” a high-energy Bongo Flava street anthem that marks a shift from his familiar romantic ballads.

The video officially premiered on August 6, 2026, under the theme “Another Street Problem.” It was directed by Folex (Fole X) and produced by Watu Wa Fole, with cinematography by Loco Shot and Kanjo Master.
Visually, the video delivers a bold street-inspired atmosphere shaped by wardrobe and styling from Deo Stylist, Llupeh, and Lostboimiki. The set and art direction were handled by Draw Africa alongside Set TZ, giving the production a vibrant and highly detailed urban look.
Built around the familiar Tanzanian phrase “buku jero,” meaning TSh 1,500, the song uses local slang, humor, and everyday experiences to celebrate friendship, hustle, and resilience. It reflects how people balance daily responsibilities with the freedom and excitement of nightlife.
Beneath its playful energy, “Buku Jero” carries a message about staying focused, depending on yourself, and trusting God through every stage of life. One of its most emotional moments is a tribute to mothers, showing that a mother values her child’s life, safety, and future more than money.
