South African Maskandi artist Mashelela has released “ANGIFUNE MAXOKI,” a traditional yet energetic Maskandi track built around raw storytelling and strong social commentary.

Officially released on July 31, 2026, the song appears as Track 10 on Mashelela’s 2026 studio album IMBONGOLO YISHENDE. Running for 4 minutes and 43 seconds, it combines fast-paced concertina melodies with distinctive Zulu acoustic guitar patterns.
The title “Angifune Maxoki” roughly translates to “I don’t want liars.” Through the song, Mashelela rejects dishonesty, toxic relationships, and harmful gossip while emphasizing the importance of trust and truthful interaction within the community.
