Kenyan artist Lilmaina teams up with Wilson Kanyi on “Vimajor,” a vibrant Genge, Kapuka, and Afro-pop fusion that brings a modern touch to Kenya’s classic urban sound.

Released on August 21, 2026, alongside “Tetemesha,” the track serves as one of the key releases leading into Lilmaina’s upcoming studio album Stunna.
Performed in Sheng and Swahili, “Vimajor” is about doing things in a major way, with themes of ambition, self-expression, confidence, and elevated status. The collaboration also highlights a meaningful family connection between Lilmaina and his uncle, Wilson Kanyi.
The production by So Fresh and KD combines bouncy basslines, driving electronic percussion, and nostalgic Genge and Kapuka rhythms with contemporary Afro-pop elements, creating an energetic Kenyan urban sound.
