Rising Burundian artist Frokid Fk1 has released a brand new single titled “WEEKEND,” an upbeat urban track carrying a lively, feel-good sound from Burundi’s new generation of artists.

Officially released alongside its music video on August 7, 2026, “WEEKEND” was produced, mixed, and mastered by Bedi Best. The official video was directed by Bana Hugues, with the release coming under Original Music Record, the label representing Frokid Fk1.
Built around a catchy weekend theme, the song captures the excitement of taking a break from everyday routines and enjoying good moments. Frokid Fk1 delivers the record with youthful energy and an infectious chorus designed to connect easily with listeners.
