Don Bosco NIT has released a beautiful rendition of the Catholic communion hymn “Yesu Mwema Njoo Kwangu.” The inspiring East African Gospel / Swahili Catholic Hymn & Choral Worship song is a reverent prayer inviting Jesus Christ to nourish and strengthen believers through His everlasting presence.

Officially re-released on June 11, 2026, “Yesu Mwema Njoo Kwangu” is based on the timeless composition by the late Mwalimu Joseph Makoye of Nyakahoja, Mwanza. The project was produced by JUGO Media Studio Distribution, featuring lead instrumentation by Organist Fabiano Joseph (Pabloo) and Mtiribu Yohana Magunila, with the official video directed by Jugo Media Music & TO. The release comes under Jugo Media / Catholic Church Music Tanzania.
Translated as “Good Jesus Come to Me,” the hymn reflects a heartfelt desire for spiritual nourishment and a closer relationship with Christ. Its prayerful lyrics encourage believers to seek the heavenly bread of eternal life while approaching God with humility, faith, and devotion.
Musically, “Yesu Mwema Njoo Kwangu” combines serene Swahili choral harmonies with traditional Catholic liturgical arrangements, creating a peaceful atmosphere that is well suited for Holy Communion, personal prayer, and congregational worship.
