Rising Congolese singer-songwriter Gloria Bash has released a brand new single titled “Upendo,” an Afrobeat-infused Swahili song carrying a strong message of peace, love, and unity.

Officially released on July 3, 2026, “Upendo” was created in collaboration with Club RFI RDC as a humanitarian song aimed at promoting harmony across the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The title “Upendo” means “Love” in Swahili, matching the song’s message of healing and solidarity.
The song was written by Gloria Bash, with musical arrangement contributions from Yoeli Mufasa and BRK Beatz. Its sound blends smooth Afrobeat rhythms with a heartfelt message, giving listeners both a danceable feel and a meaningful call for peace.
The official music video was shot in Eastern Congo and directed by Full Level under the Black Star Music label, adding a strong visual layer to the song’s message.
