Burundian artist Young Spit has released a hit single titled “Kubwawe,” featuring prominent singer Double Jay. The song is an upbeat Afropop / East African Afrobeats collaboration with a bright and danceable sound.

Officially released on May 2, 2025, “Kubwawe” was released through Kontinent Sounds and produced by X-Fecta. The track runs for 3 minutes and 12 seconds, bringing together Young Spit’s energetic style and Double Jay’s smooth vocal presence.
The collaboration also builds on the strong musical chemistry between the two artists, following their work together on the popular “Nibabampere Remix” in 2024. With its catchy rhythm and regional Afrobeats feel, “Kubwawe” stands out as another strong Burundian release from Young Spit.
The official music video was released on May 11, 2025, directed and edited by John Elarts, with color grading handled alongside Bani Toldo.
