Rwandan artist Yago Pon Dat, whose real name is Innocent Nyarwaya, returns with “IYAKAREMYE,” a spiritual-themed Afro-fusion single carrying a reflective message of faith, life, and divine creation.

Officially released on June 12, 2026, “IYAKAREMYE” was written and composed by Yago Pon Dat, with production handled by Reeksin Kush. The song was released through ONErpm, adding another strong entry to Yago’s growing music catalogue.
The title “IYAKAREMYE” carries a spiritual meaning, pointing toward God as the Creator and source of life. Through the song, Yago Pon Dat blends emotional Afro-fusion melodies with a message that reflects gratitude, faith, and personal reflection.
Before fully focusing on music, Yago Pon Dat was widely known in Rwanda as a journalist, TV/Radio presenter, and YouTuber. He later expanded his career into music, releasing projects such as the 18-track album YAGO LIFE II in 2025, which featured collaborations with artists including Passy Kizito, Double Jay, and Ykee Benda.
Now based in Uganda, Yago Pon Dat continues to grow his regional and international profile, including recent recognition among selected global artists by KeepClear Records for their International Artist Project.
