Malawian singer and producer Praise Umali teams up with Teddy Makadi on “Flight Mode,” a standout Afro-Pop audio release from his debut album Dreams For $ale.

Officially released on June 15, 2026, “Flight Mode” appears as the sixth track on Dreams For $ale, a highly anticipated project that showcases Praise Umali’s unique blend of Indie, Afro-Pop, and Folk-inspired sounds. The song was produced by Praise Umali himself, continuing his reputation as one of Malawi’s creative singer-producers.
The song carries a romantic and emotionally vulnerable message, using the idea of a heart being on “flight mode” to describe intense affection and the powerful effect of love. Teddy Makadi adds smooth vocals that complement Praise Umali’s melodic style, giving the track a warm and memorable feel.
Before its global release, “Flight Mode” was previewed during exclusive album listening sessions in Blantyre and Lilongwe in May 2026.
