Tanzanian gospel singer Ambwene Mwasongwe presents “Mzee Wa Siku,” a powerful gospel worship audio and one of the most loved songs from his long-standing music ministry.

“Mzee Wa Siku” is a Swahili biblical reference to God as “The Ancient of Days,” inspired by Daniel 7:9. The song carries a deep worship message about God’s timelessness, sovereignty, faithfulness, and power over every generation.
According to Ambwene Mwasongwe, “Mzee Wa Siku” was originally composed and sung in 2009, carrying the title of his second album after Majaribu ni Mtaji. The album was known as Mzee Wa Siku or Heshima ya Mrefu ni Mfupi, featuring uplifting songs that encouraged believers to overcome trials and life challenges.
The song was later re-released as part of the full album Mzee Wa Siku on May 10, 2024, featuring 11 tracks, including notable songs such as “Tulikotoka Bwana” and “Nguvu Ya Kujua.” In 2023, Ambwene Mwasongwe also performed the song live during his 20th-anniversary thanksgiving service at Mlimani City, giving fans a renewed worship experience.
Through “Mzee Wa Siku,” Ambwene Mwasongwe reminds believers to trust in the God who has been present from the beginning, the One who gives strength, restores hope, and remains faithful through every season.
