Tanzanian / Zanzibari nasheed artists Alwan K. and Khamis K. come together on “Yamenikuta,” an emotional Swahili nasheed carrying a deep message of personal trials, reflection, and spiritual comfort.

Released and promoted by New Star Records – Pemba, “Yamenikuta” has become one of the notable collaborations between the two artists within the East African Islamic music scene. The official video was released on March 21, 2023, through New Star Records on YouTube.
The title “Yamenikuta” translates from Swahili as “It has happened to me” or “troubles have found me.” Through its reflective message, the nasheed speaks to moments of hardship, repentance, emotional pain, and the search for peace through faith.
