Zimbabwean gospel artist Tino Mbasera joins forces with Minister Ellard Cherayi on “Hosanna Wekudenga,” a powerful worship track rooted in the beloved traditional Shona hymn.

Released on February 27, 2026, “Hosanna Wekudenga” serves as the title track of Tino Mbasera’s 2026 project, Hosanna Wekudenga – EP. The title translates to “Hosanna in the Highest” or “Hosanna of Heaven,” carrying a strong message of praise, reverence, and heavenly exaltation.
The song is widely connected to Zimbabwean church culture, especially among communities familiar with traditional Public Domain hymns and worship traditions such as the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM). Recorded live at 99 Parklane in Harare, the track was produced and arranged by Anesu Mapfumba, with vocal direction from Tawanda Midzi.
