Officially released on May 20, 2026, “Neema” carries a personal testimony inspired by Ringtone’s experience while in custody at the Capitol Hill police station, where he reportedly spent a week after allegedly being framed. The song reflects on hardship, survival, and the belief that God’s grace is what carries people through difficult seasons.
The title “Neema” translates from Swahili to “Grace.” Through the song, Ringtone Apoko delivers a message of faith, reminding listeners that life’s battles are not overcome by human strength alone, but through divine grace, mercy, and God’s sustaining power.
The release was also promoted through a controversial moment where the artist appeared atop a seven-story building, which was later revealed to be part of the promotion for the music video. With “Neema,” Ringtone uses his comeback to share a testimony of restoration and renewed faith.
