Tanzanian Catholic choir Kwaya ya Mtakatifu Kizito (KMK) Makuburi has released “Mshindi,” also known as “Kristo Mshindi,” a powerful Easter gospel song celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The official music video premiered on April 4, 2026. The song was composed by Vinny Mukasa, with audio production by KMK Studios and video direction by Divine Studios. It was also featured in the choir’s 2026 Easter Sunday Music Playlist for Mwenyeheri Anuarite Parish in Makuburi, Dar es Salaam.
Mt. Kizito Makuburi is one of Tanzania’s respected Catholic choirs, known for rich liturgical music, strong vocal arrangements, and songs that continue to bless Christian communities. Since its establishment in 1988, the choir has built a strong legacy with many albums and songs used in worship and church celebrations.
“Mshindi” is a joyful Easter anthem that proclaims Christ as the winner over death, sin, and the devil. The song carries a message of victory, hope, and faith, reminding believers that the resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of Christian celebration.
