Officially released on May 19, 2026, “Intoni?” is part of a strong collaborative project that highlights the rich sound of South African Maskandi music. The title “Intoni?” is a Xhosa/Zulu expression that translates to “What is it?” or “What?”, giving the song a conversational and culturally rooted identity.
Musically, the track carries the traditional Maskandi feel, known for expressive storytelling, rhythmic vocal delivery, and fast acoustic guitar picking. With contributions from Stshomi and Thabiso Shange, “Intoni?” adds more depth to the Ezohlala Nawe project, which also includes other 2026 releases such as “Kushoda Obaba” and “Vuma.”
