Malawian Afro-Dancehall artist Cee Jay, also known as Jay Jay Cee Mw, has released “Izeki Ndi Jakobo,” a tribute song celebrating one of Malawi’s most loved comedy duos.

The song was released in May 2026 and pays homage to the legendary Izeki ndi Jakobo, made up of John Nyanga (Izeki) and Eric Mabedi (Jakobo). The duo became household names in Malawi through their comedy sketches, radio programs, and memorable performances that entertained many people from the 1990s onward.
Cee Jay, whose real name is James Juma Chitsonga, is an award-winning Malawian artist known for Afro-Dancehall and Reggae. He has built a strong name in Malawi’s music scene through songs like “Zoona” and “Timvanabe,” and is also recognized for winning Best New Artist at the UMP Awards.
“Izeki Ndi Jakobo” is a song of remembrance, respect, and celebration. It honors the laughter, memories, and cultural impact left behind by Izeki and Jakobo, while also reminding fans of their contribution to Malawian entertainment.
