Comorian artist Youbbee released a major Afro-island and traditional pop track titled “Marachi.”

The song became one of the standout records from his debut EP while gaining strong popularity across the Comoro Islands and Mayotte. Originally released on June 23, 2024, “Marachi” blends Comorian traditional pop, Afro-island sounds, and Twarab-infused melodies. Produced under Laboukle Music, the track combines lively regional percussion with modern Afrobeat arrangements. The song appears on Youbbee’s successful 10-track EP, Msigné Afé, alongside notable songs including “Domoni,” “Punut’s Coca,” and “Gougouma.”
The song draws inspiration from local culture and identity. refers to a traditional Mahorais and Comorian perfume commonly used in cultural customs, giving the record a celebratory and deeply rooted cultural feel while maintaining an energetic danceable rhythm. Youbbee is recognized for blending traditional Comorian musical influences with contemporary Afro-inspired production.
