The song was officially released as part of the Saturation (Live) album on June 8, 2024, after earlier versions and singles had appeared around February 2024. The most recognized live version was recorded during the Saturation 1 worship session at Communauté Évangélique Présence de Dieu.
Moses Mangomba is a Congolese gospel minister known for emotional live worship, prayerful melodies, and songs that lead listeners into deep spiritual reflection. Daniel Banam adds a strong worship presence to this collaboration, making “Soupir” one of Mangomba’s notable live worship moments.
“Soupir” means “sigh” in French, and the song expresses a desperate spiritual longing for divine intervention. It is inspired by the biblical story of the woman with the issue of blood, who believed that touching the hem of Jesus’ garment would bring healing.
