Kenyan hip-hop pioneer turned minister Bamboo African Bantu, whose real name is Timsimon Kimani, has released a Swahili gospel single titled “Hapana,” also listed on some platforms as “Apana.” The song features his wife, Ugandan evangelist and author Erica Mukisa Kimani.

Officially released on audio streaming platforms on October 19, 2024, with the music video following on November 13, 2024, “Hapana” was released under Life Is Spiritual Publishing. The track carries a strong Christian Hip-Hop / Afro-Gospel sound with a bold message of faith and spiritual discipline.
In Swahili, “Hapana” means “No.” Through the song, Bamboo African Bantu and Erica Mukisa Kimani use the word as a declaration against spiritual compromise, ungodly relationships, and anything that pulls believers away from Christ.
