Watch: Jumanji The Next Level Official Trailer: Jumanji 4 has been in development for a few years now, but there’s still no movement on the follow-up to 2019’s release of Jumanji: The Next Level. In fact, we don’t even have a release date yet.

Back in August 2021, Jumanji producer Hiram Garcia did confirm that there will be another outing. We just have to wait. In early 2022, he confirmed that we’d have to wait at least until Red One – Dwayne Johnson’s new movie – was finished filming for Jumanji 4 to begin production.
Red One began production in October 2022, ahead of a planned Christmas 2023 release, so hopefully things will be under way on Jumanji 4 – or Jumanji 3 if you just want to focus on the new movies – at some point in 2023.
The final moments of The Next Level set up a follow-up that we’d love to see, which has made the wait harder for fans. However, we’re confident it’ll happen, so here’s everything you need to know about Jumanji 4.
Right now, we don’t have a confirmed release date for the next Jumanji movie or any concrete information about when it’ll be filmed.
The previous two movies – Welcome to the Jungle and The Next Level – both received December releases (December 20, 2017, and December 13, 2019) and since that worked well for them at the box office, we imagine a similar date for the next movie.
